Mumbai, Mar 7: A tug hit an aircraft at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on Wednesday morning. The Jet Airways plane was stationed in the parking bay at Mumbai Airport when the incident happened.

Airport authorities have been ascertaining further details regarding the accident. No major damages have been reported so far.

Tugs are mostly used to push an aircraft away from the gate when it is ready to leave. These are very powerful and have large engines because of which tugs are sometimes referred to as an engine with wheels. These can also be used to pull aircraft in various situations.
